Sat. 13th July | 5pm - 7:30pm
^ Studio, Manorhamilton
We’re making the short jaunt to Manorhamilton with this special summer show and we welcome the many headed ensemble Trá Pháidín who offer up an utterly compelling blend of jazz, folk, art-rock. We’re also delighted to finally have Cathal Roche on a Spilt Milk bill.
Trá Pháidín
Áit éicint leathbhealach idir Showband, Céilí band agus elastic band a gheobhaidh tú Trá Pháidín.
Níl aon focal go dtí nach d’úsáid siad le cur síos ar a chuid cheoil ar mhaith le soundáil smartáilte ar nós jazz le ceol traidisiúnta le kosmiche ach, le déanaí fuair siad teideal ceart ‘s cóir:
“Tony Allen ride-áil Andy Irvine san elevator” (leaid sa Bierhaus, Gaillimh 4/5/2024)
Somewhere halfway between a Showband, a céilí band and an elastic band is where you’ll find Trá Pháidín.
There is no word that they haven’t yet used to make themselves appeal more to the public like jazz with traditional music with kosmiche but, recently they were given a fair and just title:
“Tony Allen and Andy Irvine in an elevator” (Fella in the Bierhaus, Galway 4/5/2024)
