Spilt Milk continues… our rescheduled Junior Jam event takes place Saturday 7th Dec at the Irish Wheelchair Association’s Abbeyville Centre.

*****************************

Just for the young ‘uns, Junior Jam is our dedicated event which introduces experimental music to young audiences.

For this year’s event, we invite young explorers into their own fun, sensory space starting with a flag-making session with printmaker Daniel Guest of Pulled. Following this, participants will then journey through sound creation and performance with Diarmuid MacDiarmada.

This outing sees a special interactive workshop/performance with Diarmuid MacDiarmada, who has been engaged in a plethora of activities for almost three decades as a composer, teacher, writer, visual artist and event-manager among many other things. His performances draw from a magic-bag of music, talk, workshop actions, absurdism and ritual. Diarmuid’s  workshop will be a journey from thinking about sound through some of the methods of making sounds, leading to ways to organise lots of people making sound, by the end the kids will be conducting the other kids making delightful noise.

This event is for Ages 6+
