Electric circus: ports, Laments and other airs

Sat. 16th September | 7pm - 8.30pm

Yeats Building

Electric Circus presents an exciting programme of new music for instruments and electronics, including music by composers in the Derry-Donegal-Sligo region. The pieces showcase the range and breadth of music being composed and performed in this part of Ireland today. Spilt Milk is delighted to collaborate on the Sligo installment of this tour.

Performers include Theresa Kavanagh (fiddle), Moya Sweeney (harp/voice), Tara Baoth Mooney (voice/electronics) and Brian Stafford (uilleann pipes).

Electric Circus is a new electroacoustic ensemble based in NW Ireland with a focus on works that foreground the intersection of instruments and spatialised electronic sound. This concert is an opportunity to showcase music composed and performed by artists based in the north west, with a few special guests from further afield!
